What to expect:

Many of our positions are general positions and we do our best to make it fun for everyone. During your shift, you may be helping with laying down tape, putting up signs, assisting move in/out activities, scanning tickets, managing crowds/lines, checking in on makers, solving problems, finding more help, and many more tasks as they arise.

This year we do have a few special positions that benefit from special skills. If you feel you have those skill, please let us know in the signup form. The main need this year involves the badge.

Soldering

Our badge this year is an electronic badge and attendees can purchase the components to solder on and make their badge function. If you have soldering skills and are able to teach it to others, we can put yours skills to good use!

Robotics

Have you built a robot or a remote control item? Worked with servos, motors, hot glue? This year we are hosting a hebocon style event where attendees get to build a “crappy” robot to compete for prizes. We could use your assistance in this area teaching attendees about robots.

Production Time

During the production window, we meet weekly, work on tasks to make this year a success. We could use your help reach out to individuals, spreading the word, working on hands-on activities, running errands, etc. There is always so much to do leading up to an event, we could use your help.

Clean Up

This year we must be 100% out by midnight. Usually this isn’t a problem, but we are usually working under the assumption we can always come back the following day. This year we have to be sure which means we will be putting in extra effort to get everything out of the building, all the tape pulled up from the floor, all the signs down, and all trash put in/near a trash bin.

2025

If you have the heart for this and want to be more involved, we’d love to add you to our Crew team. Crew spend all year together planning, organizing, making connections, and pumping everyone up for another wonderful year. Crew members that have passion in one discipline get the opportunity to lead a village and make it as big as possible. We promise its a lot of work, takes a lot of time, but also is also 100% fun and worth it!
